Maharashtra Government launched Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana in 2023 for economic upliftment of farmers. The scheme will provide a subsidy of ₹6,000 per year to all eligible farmers in Maharashtra.

Benefits of the Plan:
- All eligible farmers in Maharashtra will get a subsidy of ₹6,000 per year.
- The grant will be disbursed in three equal installments.
- Subsidy will be directly credited to farmers’ bank account.
Scheme Eligibility:
- The farmer should be a resident of Maharashtra.
- Farmer should have Aadhaar card and PAN card.
- Farmer’s farm should be less than 8 acres.
- The farmer should not have availed any government schemes.
Implementation of the Plan:
- This scheme will be implemented by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Maharashtra.
- To register the farmers, they need not to do anything, eligible farmer list is prepared by the Agriculture Department or at the Agriculture Department office.
Start of Scheme:
- This scheme started in 2023.
- In 2023, in the first phase, the benefit of the scheme was given to 50 lakh farmers.
- In 2024, the scheme is planned to benefit 1 crore farmers.
Outcome of the plan:
- Farmers will get financial support due to this scheme.
- Expenditure on agriculture will decrease.
- The standard of living of farmers will improve.
