Share

Maharashtra’s administration is working diligently to ensure farmers affected by drought receive the allocated subsidy. This article clarifies the process, common errors leading to delays, and steps farmers can take to claim their rightful assistance.

Current Status:

  • Nearly 90% of farmers have already received the drought subsidy.
  • The remaining farmers may face delays due to:
    • Incomplete e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer)
    • Errors in application documents

Resolving Common Issues:

  • Error 1: Aadhaar Card Not Linked to Bank Account
    • Status: “PAYMENT REJECTED”
    • Solution: Visit your bank and confirm Aadhaar linkage. Alternatively, open an Aadhaar-linked account at the post office.
  • Error 2: Land Ownership Exceeds Limit
    • Status: “Disbursement FAIL” (Owning more than 3 hectares or land in multiple villages)
    • Solution: Contact your village Talathi (revenue officer) for further information. They hold the list of affected farmers.
  • Error 3: e-KYC Not Completed
    • Status: “EKYC PENDING”
    • Solution: Visit your nearest Maha E Seva Kendra (government service center) and complete e-KYC. The Talathi has a village-wise list of pending e-KYC cases.

Additional Requirements:

  • Submit scanned copies of your Aadhaar card and bank passbook to the Talathi.
  • Any delay due to incomplete documentation will be the farmer’s responsibility.

Farmer Action:

  • All farmers who haven’t received the subsidy are urged to follow these steps:
    • Check for their name on any error lists mentioned above.
    • If your name appears, follow the corresponding solution.
    • If no errors are found, ensure e-KYC is complete and required documents are submitted to the Talathi.

Seeking Help:

  • Contact your village Talathi for any questions or assistance regarding the subsidy application or document verification.

By following these guidelines and proactively addressing any issues, farmers can ensure they receive the much-needed drought relief subsidy.
