Objective:
- Empower women and girls in Maharashtra
- Improve health and nutrition of women and children
- Promote financial self-reliance of women
Benefits:
- Rs 1,500 per month to eligible women
Eligibility:
- Women aged 21 to 65 years residing in Maharashtra
- Annual family income not exceeding Rs 2.5 lakh
- Not a former MP/MLA or government employee (including spouse)
- Not a member of a household with a four-wheeler (excluding tractors) or more than 5 acres of agricultural land
- Owns an Aadhaar card and bank account
Disqualification:
- Already receiving a pension after retirement
- Already receiving more than Rs 1,500 per month from another government scheme (difference will be provided)
Selection Process:
- Online application through portal/mobile app/anganwadi centers
- Verification by anganwadi workers/Gram Panchayat officials
- Grievance redressal mechanism for objections
Implementation Timeline:
- July 1st: Online application begins
- August 31st: Last date for application
- From July 21st: Benefit payments begin (by 15th of every month)
Important Points:
- The scheme is named after Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
- It aims to address the lower female employment rate in the state.
- Funding comes from the existing budget for the “Lake Ladki” scheme.
- A state-level and district-level agreement will oversee implementation and review.
